Silk and Spice Rising is a hybrid event, with two live showcases taking place on Saturday 5/4 at The Crown Theatre in Pasadena and a virtual showcase that will premiere on Sunday 5/5 and will be available to stream until Sunday 5/12.
Both our live show and virtual show feature performance artists from all across the pan-Asian (AAPI/AAPIDA/AANHPI) performance arts community, including: burlesque artists, drag artists, exotic dance artists, traditional dancers, pole artists, aerialists, sideshow performers, comics, magicians/illusionists, and musicians, with priority given to community members who are Black Asian, black/kalo Asian, South Asian, plus size, trans, queer, and/or disabled.

May 4th, 2024 - Live Showcases:
6:30 PM - Doors Open (VIPs receive priority entry)
6:30 PM - Silk and Spice Bazaar Opens, featuring local vendors, representing a spectrum of historically marginalized groups
7 PM - The Jade Follies Showcase pays homage to Jade Follies, SoCal's first ever pan-Asian burlesque and variety revue. Featuring sparkling talent from Southern California, co-curated by Jade Follies founder Miso Pretty.
9:30 PM - The Silk Road Showcase features a variety of performance artists from all across the AANHPIDA regions who will dazzle you with their myriad skills.
